A Winter's Night
This song is an original of mine that I released on my CD: 'Jayson Seaver A Holiday Collection'. The piece is a
piano solo. I composed this tune and played it often in the lobbies of Nordstrom. I wasn't planning on adding it to my CD since
I didn't think it was a Christmas tune. During one of my breaks of recording
I started playing the tune. My sound engineer said 'Hold on, let me record this!' So he recorded it and I nailed it in my first take.
Since I had a good recording of it I added it to the CD and gave it a title of A Winter's Night so that it sounded Christmasy.
It is written in the key of F minor, transitioning into A flat major. The syncopated rythm makes
the piece particularly fun to play and listen to.
